Matches use median sale prices (periods vary by guide) and commute estimates from my city guides, and TEA's preliminary 2026 district ratings. They don't consider who lives in an area. Visit, compare campus ratings by address, and use this as a starting point. Brent Reiter supports the Fair Housing Act and equal housing opportunity.

    How the Matcher Works

    • Budget compares your number with each city's median sale price from my guides, which use NTREIS (North Texas MLS) sales.
    • Commute uses the typical off-peak drive times in each guide. Rush hour can add 15–30 minutes on I-35W, I-30 and SH-183.
    • Schools use the Texas Education Agency's 2026 A–F rating for each city's main school district. Ratings are preliminary until December 2026, and campus ratings vary inside every district.
    • Home type matches what's common in each city: new construction, established neighborhoods, historic homes, acreage and so on.

It doesn't use crime, demographics or anything about who lives in an area. It's a starting point. Visit the areas, check campus ratings by address, and look at specific streets before you decide.

    Next Steps

    1. Read the guides for your top two or three matches: prices by neighborhood, schools, taxes and commute.
    2. Compare property taxes. Rates vary by school district and special districts; see Fort Worth property taxes explained.
    3. Drive it at rush hour before you commit to a commute.
    4. Get pre-approved so you know your real budget, including taxes and insurance.
    5. Send me your matches and I'll set up a custom home search for those cities.
